Nurse Practitioners

Mrs Clare Glasgow (f)

We are very pleased to have recruited Clare to the team in 2016.  She is a very experienced Senior Advanced Clinical Practitioner who can prescribe medication.

Clare has an extensive background in Primary Care but has also worked in A&E, the community nursing team, and prison work. She covers Out of Hours in addition to four weekdays here at the surgery. Clare sees patients for minor illness urgent medical problems, as well as managing the triage system throughout the week.

Mrs Rebecca Philpott (f)

Becs joined us in the start of 2017.  She is a very experienced children's clinician and can prescribe. She has experience both in A&E (specialising in children as well as adults) and neonatal care.  She is used to treating ill and very ill children.  Becs will be seeing children with minor illnesses as well as adults and will also be caring for children and adults with chronic illnesses.

At the end of January 2018, Becs will be starting maternity leave. We wish her all the best with her first child.

Mrs Lucinda Godfrey (f)

Lucinda is an Advanced Clinical Practitioner who joined us in 2017. She has extensive experience in A&E and is an independent nurse prescriber.

Lucinda works Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and takes care of minor illness and triage.

Miss Nicola Court (f)

Nic joined the clinical team in 2017, coming from work in A&E. She is a qualified paramedic and is also trained in paediatric care.

Nic is currently on a prescribing course so that she can better help with daily minor illness and triage. We wish her the best of luck with studying and she is aiming to pass at the start of summer 2018.

Mrs Gillian Smith (f)

Gillian is a nurse practitioner who joined us in 2017. She has previously worked as a practice nurse elsewhere and has experience in A&E.

Gillian is currently on a prescribing course so that she can better help with daily minor illness and triage. We wish her the best of luck with studying and she is aiming to pass at the start of summer 2018.

Mrs Angela Kelly (f)

Angela join the Practice in January 2016.  She is a very experience nurse having spent 14 years working in primary care in Northampton. She takes care of all our diabetic patients.

Nurses

Mrs Mahajabeen (Mo) Janjua (f)

Mo joined the practice in April 2015.  She was a staff nurse with NHFT.  She is a very experienced nurse who is currently studying for her MSC in Primary Care Nursing. 

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Jackie Beesley (f)

Multi Skilled Practitioner. Certified Smoking Cessation Practitioner (NCSCT).

Jackie undertakes several technical roles including blood pressure reviews, spirometry & ECG readings. She also runs the smoking cessation service on Friday afternoons.

Jackie works Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.

Mrs Shirley Lyon (f)

We would like to welcome Shirley as a new addition to our clinical team. 

Miss Laura Birch (f)

Laura is an experienced Health Care Assistant and is now studying though the Open University for her nursing degree.

Laura will see you for a wide variety of conditions including Hypertension and Diabetes. 

Mrs Jenny Williams (f)

Jenny has been trained in house by external and internal trainers and assessors.  She joined us to undertake NHS Health Checks but trained to take blood as well (phlebotomy).  She has now qualified as a Health Care Assistant.

Jenny has 10 years experience working with Adults with learning difficulties and has worked for Northamptonshire County Council as a Day Centre Officer in Wellingborough.
